VietNamNet Bridge – Seven provinces have finalized the selection of young intellectuals as vice chairs of disadvantaged communes.

145 candidates for commune vice chairman selection

Vu Dang Minh, head of the project to recruit 600 young intellectuals as vice chairs of disadvantaged communes, said that the seven provinces include Cao Bang (with 44 nominees), Bac Can (22), Bac Giang (19), Ninh Thuan (8), Lam Dong (5) and Quang Nam (22).

Minh said that the nominees will be trained on the spot, not in Hanoi. The first class will open on October 12 to train nominees of the northern mountain provinces of Cao Bang and Bac Kan.

The training course comprises 12 theoretic and practice parts. Lecturers will come from official training schools and local officials.

“Though they are recruited but they will be rejected if they could not follow the training course. They will be even dismissed if they perform poorly at work. The opportunity is fair for all,” Minh said.

He said that there are many brilliant candidates but they are not chosen just because the quota is fixed at 600.
