Under a memorandum of understanding signed by both parties, FPT and Creaform will jointly implement cultural heritage digitization projects in Vietnam, leveraging Creaform’s world-class 3D scanning technology and FPT’s solution development and deployment capabilities.

The partnership is expected to establish Vietnam’s leading digital heritage platform, aligned with international standards currently used in developed countries.

Globally, Creaform is a recognized name in non-contact 3D scanning and measurement, with equipment deployed in over 85 countries.

Creaform’s technology is praised for its precision, flexibility in field operations, and adaptability to complex shapes and materials – characteristics commonly found in cultural artifacts.

Through this partnership, FPT becomes Creaform’s priority implementation partner in Vietnam for advanced technologies applied in heritage digitization.

This move contributes to strengthening the “Make in Vietnam” initiative, developing globally competitive tech products and services created by Vietnamese professionals to solve local challenges.

Creaform’s solutions allow precise digitization of every detail, texture, and form of cultural artifacts, enabling both tangible and intangible heritage to be digitally reconstructed. These high-fidelity digital records support museums, archives, and cultural institutions in building accurate digital databases.

This opens opportunities for developing immersive experiences in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and new preservation and exhibition models on digital platforms.

The two companies also plan to promote and introduce their solutions to government agencies, museums, research institutes, cultural organizations, and expert communities to expand the application of digital technologies in heritage conservation.

Speaking at the event, Tran Phong Lam, Director of FPT IS’s Government Division, said: “Heritage digitization is a vital national mission. It can now be addressed with the world’s leading digital technologies. Partnering with Creaform reflects FPT’s commitment to mastering and applying global core technologies to preserve and promote Vietnamese heritage through digital means, aligning with national goals and resolutions.”

Vu Duy Thanh, Director of the akaVerse Platform at FPT, added: “Working with Creaform allows us to integrate the world’s most precise 3D scanning equipment into the akaVerse ecosystem. This creates vibrant, high-fidelity digital replicas that help preserve and disseminate Vietnam’s cultural values in their entirety.”

Representing Creaform, George Tan emphasized: “We believe that our partnership with FPT will be a vital bridge to bring our precision 3D scanning technology closer to organizations in Vietnam, starting with cultural heritage digitization.”
