The Da Nang People’s Committee has issued a decision to form a task force dedicated to researching the Da Nang - Quang Nam urban railway project.

The task force will be led by Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Le Quang Nam. Its deputy head will be the Director of the Department of Construction, along with other members including representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and the Priority Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board.

Their responsibilities include assessing and proposing guidelines, development directions, mechanisms, policies, and comprehensive solutions related to the investment in the Da Nang - Quang Nam urban railway.

Specifically, the team will define the scope of study, propose preliminary plans, conduct on-site surveys, gather information, and coordinate with the Quang Nam People's Committee to develop a connection plan between the two localities.

Additionally, the group will evaluate different ideas and plans based on their socio-economic efficiency, economic and technical feasibility, environmental impact, sustainability, and alignment with the socio-economic development strategies, urban planning, and regional development plans of both Da Nang and the broader area.

Alongside this railway study task force, the Da Nang People’s Committee has also established a separate group to explore a land reclamation project in Da Nang Bay. This second task force will be headed by Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Le Trung Chinh.
