On the afternoon of May 16, Nhan Dan Newspaper held the opening ceremony of the exhibition at 71 Hang Trong Street (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), alongside the launch of a special edition of Nhan Dan Weekend, marking the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth.

Organized in the open space of the Nhan Dan headquarters overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake, the exhibition is not only a cultural event but also a profound political gesture, helping bring Ho Chi Minh’s ideology closer to the people.

This emotional and large-scale exhibition features invaluable photos of the President, from well-known images to rare artistic depictions.

The exhibition introduces both traditional print newspapers and a QR code system, allowing visitors to engage with digital content.

The exhibition is divided into three thematic sections:

Ho Chi Minh – Portrait of a man: Depicts the journey and stature of President Ho Chi Minh as a national liberation hero and a world cultural icon.

The people’s affection for Uncle Ho: Showcases the deep love of the Vietnamese people for the President and includes artistic interpretations of his image.

Uncle Ho and Nhan Dan Newspaper: Highlights his special connection with the Party’s official newspaper, featuring articles penned by him across various periods.

Notably, the exhibition maximizes the use of modern technology to create an immersive digital experience. Through QR codes, visitors can access a virtual museum about President Ho Chi Minh and youth, listen to a music podcast featuring timeless songs honoring his legacy and virtues, and interact with valuable artifacts related to his work with young people.

These elements aim to inspire the younger generation to follow his example and contribute to building a prosperous nation in the new era, as he envisioned.

A highlight of this special campaign is the release of Nhan Dan Weekend issue number 1890 – a symbolic number matching President Ho Chi Minh’s birth year. This coincidence is a heartfelt tribute and a vivid expression of the revolutionary press’s spirit of "remembering the past to understand the present."

At the exhibition, visitors can also explore valuable materials on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle through original articles he wrote for Nhan Dan. The special edition of the newspaper includes two pages featuring iconic images of him reading Nhan Dan and excerpts of his timeless quotes.

These pages are enhanced with QR codes linking to dynamic resources on the online portal “Ho Chi Minh and the ideology of the people as the foundation,” offering a modern and engaging reading experience for both domestic and international audiences.

During the ceremony, Nhan Dan Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh emphasized that studying and following President Ho Chi Minh is not just a political duty but a professional way of life for journalists.

In an era of overwhelming information, revolutionary journalism must stay politically grounded, innovate, and uphold progressive human values.
