On May 23, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly presented a report responding to deputies’ opinions on organizing the Q&A session at the 9th meeting.

As a result, the finance sector emerged as the top concern, selected by 255 deputies (over 80%). The education and training sector followed with 192 votes (over 60%), while science and technology received 184 selections (about 58%).

In accordance with the National Assembly's oversight regulations, the two chosen areas for questioning during the 9th session are finance and education-training.

According to the program, the Q&A session will be chaired and moderated by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man. Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang will take the podium first, addressing topics related to financial policy for economic development, growth targets, revitalizing traditional growth drivers, and establishing new ones.

Questions will also cover solutions to improve the performance of state-owned enterprises, policies to support and develop the private sector into a key economic driver, and measures to attract more foreign direct investment (FDI).

Mechanisms and policies to stimulate investment and develop industrial zones and economic zones will also be on the agenda.

Deputy Prime Ministers Ho Duc Phoc and Nguyen Chi Dung, as well as the Ministers of Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, Environment, Construction, Science and Technology, and Foreign Affairs, will join the session to clarify related matters.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son will answer the second set of questions, focusing on the current status and solutions to improve the quality of higher education, particularly in connection with developing a high-quality workforce to meet socio-economic needs.

He will also respond to issues related to regulations on private tutoring, ensuring a safe and friendly school environment, preventing school violence, and food safety and hygiene in educational institutions.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and the Ministers of Finance, Home Affairs, Health, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Science and Technology, and Public Security will also participate to address relevant issues.

At 10:20 AM on June 20, the Prime Minister - or a Deputy Prime Minister authorized to represent him - will deliver a report on the Government’s operations and respond directly to questions from the National Assembly deputies.
