At 9:30 PM on April 26, an artistic high-altitude fireworks show was held at the riverside park along the Saigon River (Thu Duc City) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

Earlier in the evening, Ho Chi Minh City experienced a brief rain shower, clearing the skies and creating perfect conditions for spectators to enjoy the display.

On the evening of April 19, the first fireworks display of the celebration series had also taken place at the Saigon River waterfront.

Tens of thousands of spectators gathered at the site from as early as 4:00 PM, waiting eagerly until 9:30 PM to witness the vibrant spectacle.

Many attendees captured unforgettable moments of the evening.

Traveling dozens of kilometers from Binh Duong to Ho Chi Minh City, young visitor Khanh Ly seized the opportunity to record beautiful moments with family members.

On the night of April 30, from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM, fireworks will be launched simultaneously at 30 locations across Ho Chi Minh City. Among these, two high-altitude displays will be staged at the Saigon River Tunnel area (Thu Duc City) and the Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial (Cu Chi District).

The remaining 28 locations will feature low-altitude fireworks, including several launched from barges near the Rach Chiec Bridge, the Saigon River close to Van Phuc Urban Area (Thu Duc City), and three locations at the Bach Dang Wharf (District 1).

During the fireworks displays, the riverbanks along District 1 and District 2 were packed with people.

Before the fireworks show, a series of impressive performances, including light displays and flyboard water stunts, amazed the crowd.

Additionally, a 3D mapping presentation was projected onto the façade of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee building, performed by teams from Singapore, Belgium, France, and Vietnam.

The Singaporean team recreated the spirit of a dynamic, modern Ho Chi Minh City, featuring snapshots such as the iconic "Co Ba Saigon" figure wearing a modernized ao dai, along with imagery showcasing the city’s growth, including the Bitexco Financial Tower, Landmark 81, and the two-decker buses.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team highlighted the country’s cultural essence, featuring the face of the Dong Son drum, the Lac bird, the Hong bird soaring across the sky, and heroic historic milestones starting with the 938 Bach Dang River victory.
