Today, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat convened to review a proposal from the Central Inspection Commission regarding disciplinary action against Party members who violated regulations.

The Politburo and the Secretariat determined that Vo Chi Cong, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee, a member of the Can Tho City Party Standing Committee, and head of the city's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, committed violations of Party and state laws during his tenure as a member of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Standing Committee and head of the province’s Organization Committee.

Vo Chi Cong also violated Party regulations on prohibited conduct and the principle of leading by example. His actions caused serious consequences, stirred negative public opinion, and damaged the reputation of the Party organization and his workplace.

Likewise, Nguyen Bat Khach and Le Ngoc Soi, former Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hung Yen, were found to have degraded politically, ethically, and in lifestyle.

Both violated Party regulations and state laws in the performance of their duties, particularly in anti-corruption, waste, and misconduct efforts. They breached rules on prohibited behaviors and failed in their responsibility to set a moral example. These violations caused very serious consequences, provoked strong public dissatisfaction, and severely harmed the credibility of the Party and government bodies involved.

Based on the nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violations, and pursuant to the Party’s disciplinary regulations, the Politburo issued a warning to Vo Chi Cong. The Secretariat decided to expel Nguyen Bat Khach and Le Ngoc Soi from the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The Politburo and Secretariat also requested that relevant authorities implement corresponding administrative disciplinary measures promptly and in alignment with the Party’s disciplinary actions.
