On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s national reunification, leaders of political parties and countries around the world have extended congratulatory messages to the Communist Party of Vietnam, the President, the Government, and the National Assembly.

The Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, along with the President, Government, National Assembly, and Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction, jointly sent a message of congratulations to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President To Lam, the Government, the National Assembly, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In their message, the Lao leaders emphasized that the historic Spring Victory of 1975 - culminating in the complete success of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign on April 30, 1975 - was a significant event recorded in global history and a shining milestone led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The message affirmed that the victory was not only for the Vietnamese army and people, but also a shared triumph of the special combat alliance between Laos and Vietnam, and of the peoples of the three countries: Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Laos expressed deep admiration for Vietnam's remarkable achievements in recent years, which have raised its standing in the region and the world. Lao leaders expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam would continue to achieve greater successes.

On this occasion, Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Lao Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane and Acting Head of the Party's External Relations Committee Bunlua Phandanouvong also sent greetings to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son.

From Cambodia, President of the Cambodian People's Party Hun Sen sent his congratulations to General Secretary To Lam; Prime Minister Hun Manet sent greetings to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; and National Assembly President Khuon Sudary conveyed congratulations to Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn extended greetings to Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son.

In their messages, Cambodian leaders described April 30, 1975, as a proud historical page and a testament to the patriotism, unity, resilience, and sacrifices of the Vietnamese people in their just cause for national liberation and reunification.

They also praised Vietnam’s impressive achievements over the past 50 years and expressed confidence that the country would continue its progress toward the goals of industrialization and modernization by 2030.

Cambodia reaffirmed its commitment to preserving and enhancing its traditional friendship and close cooperation with Vietnam, aiming to elevate bilateral ties to new heights under the spirit of good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability.

The Communist Party of India also sent a message to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, while Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar extended congratulations to Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son.

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, highlighting the importance of the close neighborly and friendly ties between the two nations and reaffirming Thailand's commitment to enhancing bilateral relations. Thai Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa also sent greetings to Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son.
