Images of President Ho Chi Minh appear across many booths. He was not only a great revolutionary leader but also a pioneering journalist. As early as the 20th century, while abroad, he recognized the power of journalism in revolution and used it as a sharp weapon to spread ideology, awaken the masses, and inspire national liberation. In 1925, he founded Thanh Nien newspaper - the first revolutionary newspaper in Vietnam - which he personally wrote, edited, and published.

From 1945 to 1975, Vietnamese journalism developed vigorously alongside two major wars: the resistance against French colonialists (1945–1954) and the resistance against American imperialists (1954–1975). Journalism during this period had a strong combat spirit, motivating revolutionary morale and disseminating Party and State policies.
