On May 13, a representative from the Hanoi Police Department’s Traffic Division stated that restrictions would apply to vehicles transporting goods over 500 kg and passenger vehicles with more than 25 seats (excluding buses, garbage trucks, emergency vehicles, and those with Vesak event permits).

Traffic control schedule and affected routes:
May 13 (2:00 PM – 4:30 PM): Restrictions apply on Vo Van Kiet (in front of Noi Bai Airport), Vo Nguyen Giap, Nhat Tan Bridge, Vo Chi Cong, Ring Road 2 (from Vo Chi Cong to Dao Tan), Dao Tan, Kim Ma, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan (from Nguyen Thai Hoc to Tran Nhan Tong), Tran Nhan Tong (from Le Duan to Quang Trung), Tran Binh Trong, and Da Tuong.
May 13 (6:30 PM – 9:00 PM): Restrictions on Ly Thuong Kiet (from Phan Boi Chau to Hang Bai), Hang Bai, Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Thai To, and Ba Trieu (from Hang Khay to Ly Thuong Kiet).
May 14–16 (5:30 AM – 10:30 PM daily): Restrictions on Quan Su (from Ly Thuong Kiet to Hai Ba Trung), Tran Hung Dao (from Quang Trung to Le Duan), Yet Kieu, Tran Binh Trong, Nguyen Du, Tran Quoc Toan (from Yet Kieu to Quang Trung), and Ly Thuong Kiet (from Phan Boi Chau to Hoa Lo - Da Tuong).
Quan Su Street (from Tran Hung Dao to Ly Thuong Kiet) is temporarily closed to all vehicles except those with Vesak permits.
May 17 (5:00 AM – 7:30 AM): Restrictions on Ly Thuong Kiet (from Hoa Lo to Le Duan), Le Duan, Giai Phong, and Do Muoi (from Ngoc Hoi to the Hanoi-Ninh Binh expressway entrance).
May 21 (2:30 PM – 5:30 PM): Restrictions on Do Muoi (from the Hanoi-Ninh Binh expressway entrance to Ngoc Hoi), Giai Phong, Nga Tu Vong, Truong Chinh, Ring Road 2 (from Truong Chinh to Nga Tu So), Lang, Ring Road 2, Vo Chi Cong, Nhat Tan Bridge, and Vo Nguyen Giap.
These measures are aimed at facilitating the smooth and solemn organization of the Buddha relic procession and related Vesak activities while minimizing disruptions in city traffic.
