Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, Nguyen Trong Dong, has issued a decision to amend and supplement the 2025 land-use plan for Long Bien District, which includes the highly anticipated Tran Hung Dao Bridge project.

The decision outlines the inclusion of 21 infrastructure projects spanning approximately 218.27 hectares, among which is the investment and construction of Tran Hung Dao Bridge.

The bridge project will stretch approximately 5.6 kilometers, beginning at the five-way intersection of Tran Hung Dao and Tran Thanh Tong streets in Hoan Kiem District and ending at Vu Duc Than Street in Long Bien District. It is scheduled to begin construction around August 19, 2025.

As a key transportation initiative for the 2025–2030 period, the project is designed to ease traffic congestion on existing Red River bridges such as Long Bien, Chuong Duong, Vinh Tuy, and Thanh Tri.

Upon completion, the bridge will enhance connectivity between Hanoi’s central districts and the rapidly developing eastern areas, while gradually fulfilling the city’s long-term transportation infrastructure master plan.
