According to the Hanoi Police Department’s Economic Crime Division (PC03), Huong ran an extensive online business selling luxury goods, including watches, handbags, jewelry, and accessories from high-end brands like Versace, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, and Hermès.
Her products were sold through multiple online platforms such as the Facebook fanpage “Hyclothet – New things by hy,” the private Facebook group “Hycloset – Hang Hieu Authentic,” and the Zalo chat group “Vip Hycloset.”
Preliminary investigations revealed that from 2020 to the present, Huong’s online business generated revenue exceeding 834 billion VND (approximately USD 32.8 million). Despite the massive turnover, she failed to declare or pay taxes, leading to an estimated tax evasion of over 12.5 billion VND (approximately USD 491,000).

On July 9, police conducted an emergency search of her residence, warehouse, and livestream studio. Authorities seized a vast quantity of luxury goods, including bags, watches, diamonds, and other high-value items worth nearly 10 billion VND (approximately USD 392,000). Most of the items lacked legal invoices or proof of origin.
Six of Huong’s employees - responsible for order processing, packaging, advertising, and customer service - were also summoned. During questioning, they admitted to violating tax regulations.
Huong has been placed under criminal detention as the investigation continues. Police are working to trace the full scope of her business activities and determine the involvement of other individuals.
