Though still about two months away from launch, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are already generating buzz thanks to new leaks confirming key design changes in Apple’s upcoming flagship models.

Recently released renders provide the clearest view yet of what to expect, revealing a reworked MagSafe structure and repositioned Apple logo on the iPhone 17 Pro series.

Some of these design tweaks have been rumored for a while, including a new rear camera layout that spans the entire width of the device, with the LiDAR scanner and flash relocated to the right-hand side.

The devices are expected to feature an aluminum frame encasing the redesigned camera module, a design language similar to the latest iPad Pro models.

To preserve wireless charging functionality, Apple will reportedly cut out a glass section beneath the camera array and integrate it into the aluminum frame.

Leaks suggest that the Apple logo will now be centered within this glass cutout, placing it lower on the phone’s back than in previous generations.

This repositioning has implications for current MagSafe accessories. The magnet ring in clear cases, for instance, could block the newly placed Apple logo.

To resolve this, Apple is said to be redesigning the MagSafe magnet ring with a break or gap in the circle, allowing the logo to remain visible through clear MagSafe cases.

Design details revealed

According to Macrumors, renders shared by reliable leaker “Majin Bu” show both the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max inside transparent cases, highlighting Apple’s likely update to the MagSafe ring to showcase the lowered Apple logo positioned within the glass cutout.

The iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are expected to launch this fall with several upgrades, including a 48-megapixel telephoto camera, a 24-megapixel front-facing camera, and the new A19 Pro chip.

These updates reflect Apple’s continued refinement of its design language, balancing visual identity with functional improvements and tighter integration with accessories like MagSafe.

Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 series in September, following its traditional release schedule. The 2025 lineup will likely include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a new model dubbed the iPhone 17 Air.
