A high-level delegation from Laos, led by General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, will visit Vietnam and attend the 50th anniversary celebrations from April 28 to April 30.
Similarly, a high-level delegation from Cambodia, headed by Hun Sen, Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and President of the Senate of Cambodia, will attend the celebrations from April 29 to April 30.

On the evening of April 25, Chinese, Lao, and Cambodian military officers joined more than 13,000 Vietnamese military personnel in a large-scale rehearsal parade in preparation for the April 30 anniversary celebrations.
During a press conference on April 24, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang announced that many senior delegations, political parties, representatives of international organizations, peace movements, anti-war movements, and international friends had confirmed their attendance at the 50th anniversary event at Vietnam’s invitation.
The April 30 celebration is an occasion to honor the eternal values of forgiveness, peace, reconciliation, and healing - a spirit of leaving the past behind and looking towards the future.
Hang emphasized that the event holds profound significance not only for Vietnam but also for the many international friends who supported and assisted Vietnam during its struggle for national independence.
At another press conference on April 18 regarding activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of reunification, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang stated that the event had received strong international attention, with over 20 delegations confirming attendance.
These include three high-level delegations, five ministerial-level delegations, and about 15 political parties from Asia, Africa, and the Americas, along with more than 100 representatives from peace and anti-war organizations.
Ho Chi Minh City has also invited over 20 partner cities from sister relationships around the world, as well as many distinguished foreign individuals.
