This morning, the Japanese luxury cruise ship Pacific World arrived in Ha Long (Quang Ninh), carrying nearly 1,700 tourists on the first day of Vietnam’s national holiday for April 30 and May 1.

Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, joined relevant local agencies to welcome the delegation, presenting flowers and souvenirs and wishing them a fulfilling tour.

All passengers will explore the famous landmarks of Ha Long Bay and enjoy a double-decker bus ride through the streets of the coastal city.

“This is my first time visiting Ha Long, and I’m impressed by the hospitality and uniqueness of the city. Japan also has many coastal cities, but this is the first time I’ve felt so eager to discover the cultural charm, natural beauty, and cuisine of a place,” said Japanese visitor Yoshioka Tatsuya.

According to Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hanh, this is the first Japanese cruise delegation to visit Ha Long aboard a superyacht - an encouraging sign for Quang Ninh’s tourism industry.

The province is making every effort to attract more visitors, especially high-end travelers. In the coming months, more luxury cruise ships are expected to bring thousands of international tourists to Ha Long for sightseeing and exploration.
