Late on June 29, the provincial criminal investigation agency (CSĐT) of Phu Yen, along with the People’s Procuracy and An My Commune Police, began a probe into the incident involving the death of Mr. C.K.T. (69 years old, Malaysian national), general director of JRD Vietnam Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

According to preliminary information, at around 4 a.m. that day, during a routine patrol, a security guard discovered Mr. T. lying on his back on the floor beside his bed at the company's facility located in Phu Long hamlet, An My commune, Tuy An district.

After several attempts to wake him went unanswered, the security guard reported the incident to local police. Authorities confirmed that Mr. T. had passed away.

Following an examination of the scene and an external autopsy, the body was transferred to Phu Yen General Hospital for preservation.

The Phu Yen provincial government has since notified the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City to inform the deceased’s family and coordinate appropriate procedures under Vietnamese law.
