Two FIFA-accredited referees from Malaysia have been appointed to officiate the highly anticipated Round 21 match between Hanoi FC and Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, a fixture widely regarded as the title decider of the 2024/25 LPBank V.League season. The match will take place at Hang Day Stadium.

Referee Razlan Joffri Bin Ali will officiate the crucial Hanoi vs Nam Dinh clash.

Referees Muhammad Izzul Fikri Kamaruzaman and Razlan Joffri Bin Ali will oversee the match, with one serving as the on-field referee and the other as the VAR official. Both are experienced officials from the Malaysian Football Association.

This is the fourth V.League 2024/25 match to feature foreign referees. Notably, Razlan Joffri Bin Ali has officiated in two of the previous three such matches - once as the main referee and once as VAR.

Referee Muhammad Izzul Fikri Kamaruzaman began his officiating career in 2012 and became a national-level referee in Malaysia in 2016. In 2023, he was selected by the Football Association of Malaysia as one of six promising young referees to participate in an advanced training program in Saudi Arabia.

The much-anticipated match between Hanoi FC and Thep Xanh Nam Dinh will kick off at 7:15 PM on May 4 at Hang Day Stadium. The hosts, Hanoi FC, currently sit second on the table with 37 points, while Nam Dinh lead with 39 points under head coach Vu Hong Viet.

The outcome of this match could prove pivotal in the title race, not only for the two teams involved but also for trailing contenders such as The Cong Viettel (33 points) and Hong Linh Ha Tinh (31 points), who are both enjoying strong runs of form.

Hanoi FC dominate April awards

With three wins, one draw, and zero losses, Hanoi FC earned 10 points in April, making them the most outstanding team of the month. The capital club also claimed two individual accolades: striker Daniel Passira was named Player of the Month, while head coach Makoto Teguramori was recognized as Coach of the Month.

Meanwhile, the Goal of the Month award went to midfielder Nguyen Huu Thang of The Cong Viettel for his spectacular long-range strike in the 72nd minute against Quang Nam in Round 17 at My Dinh Stadium.
