The Ministry of Finance has issued a decision to temporarily suspend Mr. Dao Nam Hai, the state capital representative and CEO of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), from his position.

On May 6, the Ministry announced that Mr. Dao Nam Hai, who serves as a member of the Board of Directors and the General Director of Petrolimex, is temporarily suspended from his role as the state capital representative at the enterprise. This suspension will remain in effect until conclusions are made by the competent authorities.
At the same time, the Ministry has temporarily reassigned the portion of state capital under Mr. Hai’s management - assigned to him under Decision No. 45/QD-UBQLV dated January 28, 2022 by the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises - to Mr. Pham Van Thanh.
Mr. Thanh currently serves as the representative leader of the group of state capital representatives and as Chairman of Petrolimex’s Board of Directors.
The decision took effect immediately upon signing on May 6.
Born on August 11, 1974, in Hai Phong, Mr. Dao Nam Hai holds dual master’s degrees in law and business administration.
Before being appointed CEO of Petrolimex, he served as the company’s Deputy General Director and previously held the role of General Director of Petrolimex Insurance Corporation (Pjico).
Mr. Hai became Deputy General Director of Petrolimex on October 1, 2017. His past roles include Member of the Board of Directors at Pjico (2009); General Director of Pjico (March 2013); Board Member of Construction Installation Group 1 - Petrolimex JSC (March 2013); and Independent Board Member of the National Reinsurance Corporation of Vietnam (April 25, 2013).
