The organizing committee of Miss Vietnam 2024 has officially announced the postponement of the pageant’s grand finale due to the complex developments of Storm No. 1 currently affecting central Vietnam.

After six months of competition, from preliminary rounds to the national semi-finals, the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest has selected 25 outstanding finalists. The grand finale was originally scheduled for June 14 in Hue City.
In preparation for the event, the organizing committee, in collaboration with the Hue City People’s Committee, had been working tirelessly to create an exceptional finale. The aim was to deliver not only a grand and emotional show reflecting the historical essence of the imperial city of Hue, but also a celebration of Vietnamese cultural values infused with contemporary artistic creativity.
A highlight of the finale is the immersive outdoor stage, constructed near the southern bank of the Huong River, opposite the historic Quoc Hoc Hue High School. The walkway to the stage stretches hundreds of meters, featuring ironwood planks, LED lighting, and court-style decorative motifs. The design draws inspiration from a jewel resting on the river's surface and tells the story of a luminous cultural heritage.
To bring this vision to life, hundreds of tons of equipment and a 6,000-seat grandstand have been assembled by a large technical team over several days.
However, recent abnormal weather conditions, including prolonged heavy rain and rising water levels in Hue, have posed significant challenges. These conditions have impacted both the construction timeline and the training schedule of the contestants.
To ensure the event is held smoothly and safely, and in response to the current weather situation, the organizing committee has decided to reschedule the Miss Vietnam 2024 finale.
The committee emphasized that the decision stems from objective weather-related reasons. All rights of ticket holders for the grand finale will be preserved in full.
