Update news new air routes
Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest airline by network, officially launched a new route connecting Addis Ababa and Hanoi and signed a series of cooperation agreements with Vietnamese partners at a ceremony held in Hanoi in the evening of July 11.
This new route marks a significant milestone in strengthening air connectivity between Africa and Southeast Asia.
Philippine Airlines on July 1 officially inaugurated its direct flight route connecting Manila and Da Nang, with its first flight carrying 193 passengers landing at Da Nang International Airport at 12:45 pm.
The inaugural ceremony at Milan Malpensa Airport was held with the attendance of Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, representatives from the Lombardy regional government, and airport executives.
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced the upcoming launch of the first-ever direct air route between Vietnam and Denmark, linking Ho Chi Minh City with the Danish capital, Copenhagen, starting from December 15.

In its announcement, the airline said the new route will further enhance Ethiopian Airlines' global connectivity and provide convenient travel options for passengers travelling between Africa and Southeast Asia.
Authorities are also looking to strengthen Vietnam’s competitiveness in the global tourism market by streamlining entry procedures, offering preferential policies, enhancing travel experiences and improving air connectivity.
Kazakhstan’s national flag carrier Air Astana and SCAT Airlines have scheduled flights from Almaty and Astana to Đà Nẵng from this June, and the two airlines have been working with the Airports Corporation of Việt Nam to launch new air routes.
With the launch of a new route from Ho Chi Minh City to Beijing Daxing International Airport, the total number of weekly flights between Vietnam and China will reach 40, catering to the growing travel demand.
