On June 11, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in collaboration with Khanh Hoa Newspaper, held a press conference to announce the 2025 Victory Challenge Sailun Cup Off-Road and Motorsports Race, scheduled from June 18 to 22.
Thai Thi Le Hang, Editor-in-Chief of Khanh Hoa Newspaper and head of the organizing committee, stated this is the first time the south-central coastal region has hosted an off-road motorsport competition. The event is part of the activities celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025) and aims to promote Nha Trang – Khánh Hòa tourism through a unique and exciting experience for visitors.
According to Tran Minh Thao, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Khanh Hoa Newspaper, the race route has been meticulously selected, spanning a variety of challenging terrains along Pham Van Dong Beach, Hon Do, and Dac Loc Lake - locations known for their rocky, muddy, and hilly surfaces in Nha Trang City.
The competition is divided into five categories: professional, upgraded, basic pickup, original SUV, and camping. A total of 50 test stages will be contested. The racecourses are equipped with numerous obstacles requiring competitors to carefully strategize and showcase their vehicle-handling precision and agility.
