The second edition of “Flavours of Peru” in Asia is taking place in Hanoi from July 9 to 13 to mark the 204th anniversary of Peru's Independence Day.
The event aims to enhance cultural exchange and promote bilateral ties between Peru and Vietnam through culinary diplomacy.
Following its debut in Bangkok, the Hanoi edition features a variety of traditional Peruvian dishes prepared by Peruvian chefs currently working across Asia.
Specialties include ceviche, pollo a la brasa, anticuchos, causa Limeña, and lomo saltado, along with signature desserts and beverages such as picarones, chicha morada, and maca latte.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on July 9, Peruvian Ambassador Patricia Ráez Portocarrero highlighted the event’s role in showcasing Peru’s cultural richness and strengthening people-to-people connections.
Vietnam's Deputy Foreign Minister Ngo Le Van expressed appreciation for Peru’s culture and people, affirming both sides’ commitment to deepening multifaceted cooperation and friendship for mutual benefits./. VNA
