On May 20, the Da Nang People's Committee announced its decision to sanction four enterprises for breaches in environmental compliance.

Specifically, Key Tronic Vietnam Co., Ltd. (headquartered at Lot X10, Road No. 10B ND, Hoa Khanh Expanded Industrial Park, Hoa Lien Commune, Hoa Vang District) was fined between VND 300 million and 340 million (USD 11,850 - 13,430) for operating without a valid environmental permit.

Similarly, MP Pack Joint Stock Company (Road No. 6A, Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District) was fined within the same range for the same violation.

Meanwhile, Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Da Nang Co., Ltd. (Roads No. 4 and 7, Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District) was fined VND 370 million (approximately USD 14,625) for improper operation of a waste treatment system.

TASUPHARM Joint Stock Company (Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Hoa Tho Dong Ward, Cam Le District) received a total fine of VND 45 million (approximately USD 1,775) for multiple violations involving hazardous waste management.

These included failing to report prolonged hazardous waste storage (over one year), lacking an appropriate disposal plan, and failing to properly collect and store the hazardous waste in accordance with regulations.
