The video showcases towering mountain ranges and lush hills, with a winding emerald river snaking through golden-green fields. The landscape is framed by peaceful villages, bamboo groves, and forested slopes - a vivid canvas of nature’s beauty.
The clip quickly gained traction, racking up 1.6 million views, over 66,000 likes, and hundreds of shares. Viewers left comments like, “Scenery straight out of a painting” and “If it looks this stunning on video, I can’t imagine how magical it must be in person.”
The video was filmed and posted on social media by Vu Ninh, a Ha Giang-based tour guide who specializes in leading foreign tourists through the Ha Giang - Cao Bang route.

According to Ninh, the footage features Ngoc Con, a commune in Trung Khanh District, Cao Bang, located near the Chinese border. This is where the Quay Son River enters Vietnam.
“I’ve visited Ngoc Con many times, but the scenery here never ceases to amaze me,” Ninh shared. “International guests are almost always stunned. They can’t help but exclaim, ‘It’s too beautiful.’”
To reach the viewpoint featured in the video, visitors need to hike for about 20 minutes uphill.
“From late April to early May, the valley fields are mostly planted with corn and tobacco, creating beautiful contrasts of green and gold,” Ninh added. “In June, locals begin harvesting and preparing for the rice-planting season.”
“The most stunning time to visit is from September to October, when the rice ripens into golden waves. The weather is cool and pleasant - ideal for exploring Ngoc Con and the greater Trung Khanh area.”
Ngoc Con is home to the Tay and Nung ethnic groups, who continue to practice traditional farming and cultural customs passed down through generations.
The commune is also known for its specialty sticky rice, nep ong. The grains are large, fragrant, and soft when cooked - a regional delicacy popular in local markets.
As part of his tours through Ha Giang and Cao Bang, Ninh takes visitors to other well-known sites in Trung Khanh, including Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nguom Ngao Cave, Phat Tich Pagoda, Phong Nam fields, and Mat Than (God’s Eye) Mountain.
