The Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation has approved the first round of appointments to its National Advisory Council.
The newly appointed council members include prominent scientists such as Professor Tran Ngoc Anh from the Paul H. O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Indiana University (USA), and founding chairman of the Vietnam Initiative Network.
Professor and Doctor of Science Ho Tu Bao, Director of the Advanced Institute for Mathematics - Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and Scientific Director of the John Neumann Institute, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
Professor Nguyen Huu Duc, Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Chairman of the Vietnam Physics Professorial Council.
Professor Nguyen Xuan Huan, Department of Digital Media and Digital Transformation Engineering, Middlesex University London (UK), founder and director of the Digital Twin Research Center in London, and chairman of the Vietnamese Intellectuals Association in the UK.

Professor Nguyen Duc Khuong, Executive Director of EMLV Business School (France), and Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts Global (AVSE Global, France).
Professor Vu Minh Khuong, lecturer at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore.
Professor Mai Trong Nhuan, senior expert and former Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the Policy Advisory Council of the National Committee on Climate Change, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Geological Society, and Chairman of the Vietnam Geochemistry Society.
Professor and Doctor of Science Vu Ha Van, Yale University (USA), former Scientific Director of the VinBigData Institute for Big Data Research (Vingroup).
Three other council members are experts in various fields, including: Dr. and Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, Director of Department C12 and Director of the National Data Center (Ministry of Public Security); Associate Professor and Doctor Nguyen Ai Viet, Director of the Institute for New General Intelligence and Education Technology (IGNITE), and a member of VINASA’s Think Tank group; and engineer Nguyen Bich Yen, a senior expert at multinational semiconductor corporation SOITEC (USA), and expert at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The council also includes notable business leaders such as: Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation; Tran Kim Chung, Chairman and CEO of CT Group; Nguyen Nhat Quang, Vice President of the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), Director of the Vinasa Institute of Science and Technology, and Chairman of Harmony Software Technology JSC; and Nguyen The Trung, Chairman of DTT Technology Group and member of the task force assisting the National Digital Government Committee.
Other business representatives include: Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman and Executive President of CMC Technology Group; Huynh Quang Liem, CEO of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT); Le Hong Minh, founder and Chairman of VNG Corporation; Le Thi Nga, Deputy CEO of Masan Consumer responsible for R&D; Major General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and CEO of Viettel Group; and Nguyen Manh Tuong, co-founder, Vice Chairman, and CEO of Momo E-Wallet.
On May 29, Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee and Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, presided over the official launch of the National Advisory Council.
The council leadership includes: Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Office, and Chairman of the Advisory Council; Pham Gia Tuc, Central Party Committee member and Deputy Chief of the Central Office, who serves as Standing Vice Chairman; and Ngo Hai Phan, Director of the Department of Digital Transformation and Cryptography, Central Office of the Communist Party, who is the Standing Council Member.
