On June 17, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed decisions appointing new top-level officials to the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs and the Government Inspectorate.

Under Decision No. 1177/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister assigned Ho Van Nien, a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, to the position of Standing Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs. His term of appointment is five years.

Under Decision No. 1179/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Tran Duc Thang, also a Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, as Standing Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate, also for a five-year term.

Both appointments take effect on July 1, 2025.
