The opening ceremony of the Southeast Asian and Asian Dancesport Championships took place in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of more than 4,000 athletes from 36 countries and territories.
For the first time in history, Vietnam has been granted the hosting rights by the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) to simultaneously organize three major competitions: the Southeast Asian Dancesport Championship, the Asian Dancesport Championship, and the Asian Women's Solo category. These are collectively known as the Vietnam Dancesport Festival 2025.
In the context of the growing popularity of dancesport in Vietnam, successfully hosting this event not only enhances the nation's international image but also creates opportunities to integrate this sport into the system of annual international professional tournaments in the future.
This event marks a significant milestone for Vietnamese dancesport on the global stage. The championships take place from July 10 to 13 at the Military Zone 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.
