Among them is Vietnam People’s Police II (CAND Vietnam II), who topped Group B with three consecutive victories, joining Timor Leste, Thailand, and Cambodia in the next round.

A fierce contest between CAND Vietnam I and Laos unfolded at Hang Day Stadium.
Group stage concludes with standout performances
The CAND Vietnam II team asserted their dominance in Group B, winning all three of their matches. They beat Singapore 3-0, overwhelmed Australia 10-3, and sealed their top spot by defeating Timor Leste 3-0. With a perfect nine points, 16 goals scored, and only three conceded, they emerged as one of the top contenders for the title.
Featuring a lineup of former national team stars such as Nguyen Huy Hung, Mai Tien Thanh, and Phi Minh Long, along with rising young talents, the squad showcased strong cohesion, technical skill, and physical prowess, confirming their status as title favorites.
Timor Leste secured second place in Group B after drawing 2-2 with Singapore, thrashing Australia 7-1, and narrowly losing to CAND Vietnam II. Their spirited, open style of play and improved tactical organization made them a tournament highlight and a surprise package heading into the semifinals.
Cambodia shine as Thailand edge through
In Group A, Cambodia delivered a commanding performance, winning all three matches to top the group with a perfect record. They beat CAND Vietnam I 4-2, edged out Laos 2-1, and outplayed Thailand 4-2 in their final match. Known for their fast-paced, skillful, and high-energy style, Cambodia have become a formidable opponent in the knockout stage.
Thailand clinched the final semifinal spot despite the loss to Cambodia. They previously drew 0-0 with CAND Vietnam I and defeated Laos 4-2. Tied with CAND Vietnam I at four points, Thailand advanced thanks to a superior goal difference.
Despite CAND Vietnam I’s thrilling 5-4 victory over Laos in their last match, it wasn’t enough to overcome Thailand on goal difference, resulting in their exit from the tournament.
The semifinals will take place on July 13 at Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi. CAND Vietnam II will face Thailand, while Cambodia will meet Timor Leste in what promises to be two highly competitive matches.
