Hanoi university lecturers perform a surprise ballet dance to celebrate Women’s Day.

At Hanoi National University of Education, a group of male lecturers surprised students and colleagues by donning white ballet dresses and performing an elegant yet humorous version of Swan Lake for International Women’s Day (March 8).

The performance was part of the The Colors of Pedagogy competition, an event organized by the university’s Trade Union to celebrate Women’s Day.

Dressed in graceful white tutus, the male teachers transformed into "White Swans," blending humor with impressive ballet movements that filled the auditorium with laughter and applause.

One of the event’s hosts revealed that the performance was put together by lecturers from the Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Technical Education departments.

According to university representatives, the event not only showcased talent and creativity but also strengthened bonds between faculty and students, reinforcing the value of tradition, culture, and the noble teaching profession.

The group behind the performance shared that their goal was to bring joy and encourage camaraderie among different departments while also celebrating the beauty and creativity of women.

"We initially just wanted to do something different that reflected the spirit of our teaching profession while adding an element of surprise. Eventually, the concept of a charming 'White Swan' dancing alongside a proud 'Black Swan' was born. What we didn't expect was how overwhelmingly positive the reaction would be - from endless applause to social media posts flooded with admiration," the team shared.

More than just a dance, the performance was a sincere tribute to the incredible women of Hanoi National University of Education.

"This was not just a performance, but a heartfelt message to the extraordinary women at our university - they are an endless source of inspiration, the brightest flowers in the garden of knowledge," the lecturers said.
