On the afternoon of June 15 (local time), more than 300 delegates from 18 countries gathered at the Senate Hall of Hungary's National Assembly for the forum “Positioning Vietnamese Values Abroad in the Digital and AI Era.”

The event was hosted by the Vietnam Women’s Forum in Europe. Márta Mátrai, First Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, attended and delivered the opening remarks.
In her speech, Ms. Mátrai emphasized the importance of this occasion as a unique opportunity for accomplished Vietnamese women across various sectors to meet, exchange ideas, and inspire one another. She affirmed Vietnam as Hungary's leading partner in Southeast Asia, with diplomatic relations dating back to 1950. Over the past 75 years, this relationship has strengthened significantly. She also acknowledged the valuable contributions of Vietnamese people in Hungary, especially women, whose diligence and dedication have greatly supported Hungary’s development.
Explaining the forum’s significance, Dr. Phan Bich Thien, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women’s Forum in Europe, stated that as the digital revolution advances globally, Vietnam is also actively transitioning into a tech-driven society. For Vietnamese women abroad, who are simultaneously preserving cultural identity and integrating into modern society, adapting to technological change is imperative.
This forum provided an opportunity for Vietnamese women in Europe to connect, share experiences, and grow together in their journey to promote Vietnamese values on the global stage in this transformative era.

Dr. Phan Bich Thien shared that the forum aimed to connect Vietnamese women living, studying, and working in Europe - women who embody both tradition and innovation. In the digital age, they serve as vital bridges between Vietnam and the world, between cultural heritage and global innovation, aligning with the organization’s mission: “Confidence, dynamism, creativity, and connection.”
Participants delivered meaningful presentations and exchanged insights on digital transformation and artificial intelligence across various sectors. The forum also marked a significant milestone, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-Hungary diplomatic ties and the 35th anniversary of Vietnam-EU relations.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai emphasized the relevance of the forum’s theme, noting how AI is reshaping the world and underscoring the importance of asserting cultural identity abroad. He highlighted the crucial role Vietnamese women play as ambassadors of culture and tradition in this process.
Formed after its first edition, the Vietnam Women’s Forum in Europe is a legally recognized organization headquartered in Hungary. It currently includes members from 18 European countries and a 62-member executive board chaired by Dr. Phan Bich Thien. In just two years, the forum has initiated numerous meaningful activities that strengthen the Vietnamese women’s movement in Europe and foster connections with domestic and international organizations.
