In the July 11 session, Vietnam's stock market maintained its strong upward momentum thanks to surging liquidity and the positive performance of large-cap stocks such as VIC, VHM, VCB, HPG, SSI, and FPT. By the close, the VN-Index had risen by 12.12 points to reach 1,457.76.

On the HoSE, the session's matching order value surged to over VND 30.79 trillion (approximately USD 1.21 billion), marking a significant jump from the previous session.

Foreign investors continued their net-buying spree with a total value nearing VND 1.513 trillion (around USD 59.5 million). HPG led foreign purchases with more than VND 669 billion (USD 26.3 million), followed by FPT (VND 346 billion), SSI (VND 274 billion), and SHB (VND 159 billion).

Conversely, VCB saw the highest net selling at VND 105 billion, followed by MWG (VND 95 billion), KDH (VND 86 billion), and DIG (VND 71 billion).

The VN30 group was the main driver of the session, with the VN30 Index rising over 24 points. It closed with 17 gainers, 3 stocks unchanged, and 10 decliners.

Among the top gainers: VIC surged 6.3% to VND 108,000 per share, VJC gained 4.17%, HPG added 3.38%, SSI climbed 2.42%, FPT rose 2.18%, and VHM and VCB also advanced over 2%.

In contrast, SHB dropped 1.05%, while BCM, BVH, CTG, GAS, GVR, LPB, MSN, MWG, and PLX posted slight losses.

Steel stocks closed in the green, with POM and SMC hitting ceiling prices. TLH rose 1.24%, while DTL and HMC remained flat. VCA dipped 1.09%, and HSG and NKG edged down slightly.

Securities stocks also rallied, ending the day up 2.23%. In addition to SSI, VCI hit its ceiling, DSC rose 4.4%, and several others such as VDS, HCM, FTS, AGR, and VIX posted solid gains. Only a few stocks like APG, TCI, and TVB declined slightly.

Banking stocks ended higher with a 0.58% gain. Notable movers included EIB, up 3.38%, while MSB and NAB gained modestly. OCB dipped slightly.

Real estate led the market with a 2.3% gain. Alongside heavyweights like VIC, VHM, and VRE, smaller players like DRH, LDG, and TDH hit ceiling prices.

Software and IT services rose by 1.96%, while insurance, materials, and industrial goods posted small increases. On the downside, consumer services dropped 1.6%, telecoms 1.01%, and other sectors such as transportation, utilities, and energy declined slightly.

The strongest contributors to VN-Index were VIC, VCB, VHM, HPG, FPT, VJC, VCI, MBB, EIB, and SSI, collectively adding over 14.8 points. Meanwhile, losses in VPL, CTG, HVN, GAS, BSR, LPB, BCM, SHB, and MSN shaved off over 2.62 points.

Other index highlights:

VNXALL-Index closed at 2,407.94 points, up 20.86 points (+0.87%) with liquidity at VND 32.76 trillion (USD 1.29 billion). There were 180 gainers, 84 unchanged, and 205 decliners.

HNX-Index gained 0.37 points (+0.16%) to close at 238.81. Trading volume reached over 140.46 million units worth VND 2.33 trillion.

HNX30 lost 0.29 points (-0.06%) to finish at 493.17, with 11 gainers and 16 decliners.

UPCoM Index climbed 0.44 points (+0.43%) to 102.72. More than 91.91 million shares changed hands, valued at over VND 718.22 billion.

VN30 Index rose 24.67 points (+1.57%) to 1,594.01 with liquidity at over VND 15.14 trillion.

Top traded stocks by volume: HPG (65.28 million), SSI (62.93 million), VIX (50.64 million), VND (34.31 million), and EIB (32.91 million).

Top gainers: TCD (+6.96%), TNT (+6.93%), SMC (+6.91%), VCI (+6.90%), VNE (+6.89%).

Top losers: PNC (-6.83%), SFC (-6.67%), HRC (-5.49%), HAR (-5.33%), DC4 (-5.30%).

Derivatives market: 252,400 contracts were traded with a total value of VND 40.006 trillion (USD 1.57 billion).
