A tragic incident occurred in Tay Nam Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, on July 4, when a woman climbed a high-voltage power pole and attempted to walk along a live wire more than 10 meters above ground. She lost her balance and fell to her death despite emergency efforts.

The victim has been identified as N.T.H., 42, from An Giang province.

According to initial reports, residents spotted the woman approaching a power pole near An Tay Market (formerly An Tay Ward, Ben Cat City, Binh Duong) early in the morning. She then unexpectedly climbed the pole and hung from a high-tension cable.

Fearing for her safety, witnesses immediately contacted local authorities. The Ben Cat Electricity Department quickly requested an emergency shutdown of the 475 Tam Giac Sat power line to prevent further danger.

Despite the power cut, the woman continued her climb to the top of the pole and began to walk along the cable. Moments later, she lost her footing and plummeted to the ground, lying motionless.

She was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.

The Ben Cat Electricity Department confirmed the incident took place between poles 86C and 86D, along the Rach Bap Phu An branch, near An Tay Market in Tay Nam Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
