This morning, Le Minh Hung, Member of the Politburo and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission, presented the Politburo’s decision regarding the assignment of Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam.


According to the decision, Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam has been transferred, assigned, and appointed by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and serve as the Party Secretary of Lam Dong Province for the 2020-2025 term.
At the same time, the Politburo decided that Nguyen Thai Hoc would step down as Acting Party Secretary of Lam Dong Province for the 2020-2025 term.
He has been assigned as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations.
Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, 52, hails from Ea Pok commune, Cu M’gar district, Dak Lak province. He is a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party, a member of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee, and the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Council for Ethnic Affairs.
An ethnic Ede, Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam rose through grassroots-level experience and steadily demonstrated his leadership ability and political acumen across a variety of positions at both local and central levels.
He holds a master’s degree in public administration, a bachelor’s degree in foreign economic relations, and a bachelor’s degree in political science specializing in organizational work.
Before assuming his new role in Lam Dong, Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam held various positions, including: Deputy Head of the Personnel Organization Department under the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee; Party Secretary of Cu M’gar District; Party Secretary of Buon Ma Thuot City; Party Secretary of the Central Business Sector Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term; Chairman of the National Assembly’s Council for Ethnic Affairs during the 15th legislature; and Chairman of the Vietnam-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group.
