According to the schedule, the relics were transported from Noi Bai International Airport through central streets of Hanoi to their final destination at Quan Su Pagoda.
Upon arrival at Quan Su Pagoda, a formal ceremony was held to enshrine the relics at the main sanctuary. Thousands of Buddhists and visitors gathered to witness this sacred moment and take part in the veneration.
During the incense offering ceremony, Venerable Thich Minh Quang - Secretary of the Executive Council and Deputy Chief of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Office - called upon all followers to maintain mindfulness and solemnity, to walk softly and speak gently, and to direct their thoughts toward the Buddha. He urged everyone to pray for national peace, favorable weather, long-lasting Dharma, and happiness for all beings.
He emphasized that the act of veneration is also a time for self-reflection, to live by the Buddha’s teachings - speaking kindly, acting ethically, keeping a compassionate mind, and striving for a peaceful and meaningful life.
At 7:00 PM, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha organized a procession carrying the relics around Hoan Kiem Lake to commemorate the Buddha’s birth and to pray for global peace, national prosperity, and favorable weather.
Following the procession, the relics were placed in the main hall of Quan Su Pagoda, where they will remain from May 13 to 16, available for public veneration from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily.
On the morning of May 17, the relics will be ceremonially transported to Tam Chuc Pagoda in Ha Nam Province, where they will be enshrined in the Tam The Hall until noon on May 20.
