On the morning of July 10, during its 25th session, the Hanoi People’s Council held a vote to dismiss and elect new members to the Hanoi People’s Committee.

The council passed resolutions to relieve three officials from their positions:

Nguyen Quoc Duyet, former Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command, stepped down to assume a new role.

Nguyen Hong Son, a Party member and former Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology, was reassigned to serve as Party Secretary of Nghia Do Ward.

Nguyen Nguyen Quan, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs (formerly Head of the City’s Ethnic Committee), was appointed as Party Secretary of Yen Nghia Ward.

In the same session, the council elected four new members to the Hanoi People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term:

Major General Dao Van Nhan, Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command

Le Thanh Nam, Chief of the Office of the Hanoi People’s Committee

Tran Anh Tuan, newly appointed Director of the Department of Science and Technology

Nguyen Sy Truong, newly appointed Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs

These personnel adjustments were made to enhance leadership capacity and align with Hanoi's ongoing administrative restructuring and development goals.
