The rehearsal featuring 10,500 drones will be conducted from 8:30 PM to 8:45 PM tonight at Bach Dang Wharf, District 1. The official performance will be held during the same time slot, from 8:30 PM to 8:45 PM, on the evening of May 1.
This drone show is one of the most anticipated highlights of the "Colors of Uncle Ho's City" series, running from April 19 through the end of May to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
According to the original schedule set by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, drone performances were planned for April 19, April 26, and April 30. However, shows on April 19 and 26 were canceled.

Following the updated schedule, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a notice assigning the Department of Culture and Sports to coordinate with the City Police to oversee technical inspections, ensuring security, traffic safety, and fire prevention during the event.
The organizers have also submitted documents proposing to set a Vietnam record for the largest number of drones simultaneously performing in a single show.
The "Colors of Uncle Ho's City" series features a range of activities, with the centerpiece being the official parade and march on the morning of April 30.
Additionally, on the evening of April 30, Ho Chi Minh City will host fireworks displays at 30 locations between 9:00 PM and 9:15 PM. Two major high-altitude firework displays will take place at the entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and at the Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial (Cu Chi District).
