The number of visitors to Phu Quoc City has decreased significantly year-over-year, mainly due to expensive flights and unstable service prices, said city authorities in a conference held yesterday.

Two people have been killed and four others injured following a shooting in Phu Quoc city of Kien Giang province, southern Vietnam, local authorities confirmed on October 27.

Seven dead bodies were found floating off Phu Quoc Island in the southern Kien Giang Province Thursday, including two of Chinese nationality.

Phu Quoc is known as a resort tourism paradise but in the future, the city island will be not only a destination for tourists but also an economic and financial center in the region and the world.

The southern province of Kien Giang has established a special group to fight against violations in land management and use.
