Starting early April, Facebook users have widely shared and encouraged each other to update their profile pictures with vibrant red and yellow-themed frames.

Since April 7, this avatar change trend has received nearly 90,000 interactions and around 32,000 uses.

The trend quickly spread, embraced by users of all ages, businesses, and organizations alike, creating a vivid tapestry of red across countless personal pages.

With just a small action and simple steps, young people created a wave of inspiration, sending a powerful message of patriotism and unity.

According to Social Trend data, Facebook remains the dominant platform, accounting for 55.6% of interactions, with a variety of content formats including posts, photo series, and continuous live-stream event updates.

Numerous groups have been established to share useful information like event schedules, parade viewing spots, and traffic restrictions, helping users participate more effectively.

TikTok swells with million-view transformation trends and Zalo waves the red flag

TikTok, with over 60% of its users from Generation Z, saw a surge in patriotic "transformation" trends in celebration of the 50th Reunification anniversary. These trends blend lively music, vivid visuals, and a youthful, relatable style.

Many young users spared no effort, investing in costumes, backdrops, and creative video editing to turn each clip into an artistic masterpiece, earning millions of views.

Notably, the song "Viet Tiep Cau Chuyen Hoa Binh" (Continuing the Story of Peace) by composer Nguyen Van Chung, performed by singer Nguyen Duyen Huynh, generated a powerful emotional wave, garnering 4.5 million views within just one week.

Singer Phuong My Chi also moved netizens with her transformation video inspired by the song "Nhung Ngoi Sao Xa Xoi" (Distant Stars), reaching 4.9 million views within just six days.

On TikTok, remixes such as "Mau Do Da Vang" (Red Blood, Yellow Skin) have been used in over 280,000 videos depicting parade drills, vibrant streets, and more. Meanwhile, the song "Viet Tiep Cau Chuyen Hoa Binh" in Duc Tu’s version surpassed 100,000 uses. These numbers continue to climb hourly, demonstrating the digital power behind spreading national pride.

In addition to viral transformation videos, TikTok Ads data shows that hashtags related to the 30/4 parade have maintained high rankings over the past week. Notably, the hashtags #giaiphongmiennam (liberation of the south) and #vietnamtoiyeu (my beloved Vietnam) have accumulated over 145,000 posts, consistently topping the charts.

Keyword engagement and usage rates have surged two to three times in the last two days, coinciding with key parade activities. The 18-24 age group remains the most active, showcasing deep national pride through their interactions.

Through these short yet powerful videos, TikTok is gradually becoming a "soft education" platform - a place where history is vividly and emotionally brought to life for the younger generation.
