Heavy rain accompanied by violent thunderstorms hit the central area of Da Nang, resulting in widespread urban flooding. This marks the second major flood to hit the city this summer.

Starting around 6 p.m., torrential rain fell over a wide area, inundating major streets including Ham Nghi, Nguyen Van Linh, Le Duan, Hai Phong, Ton Duc Thang, Le Thanh Nghi, and Au Co.

In some areas, floodwaters rose above the midpoint of motorbike wheels, causing many vehicles to stall and halting traffic entirely. Businesses along the streets were also flooded as water flowed directly inside.

By around 7:30 p.m., the rain began to subside, and water levels started receding on several roads in the city center.

This was the second instance of serious flooding in Da Nang during the summer. Previously, on June 11, the city experienced similar conditions due to the effects of Storm Wutip (Typhoon No. 1).

On Au Co Street (Lien Chieu Ward), rapid muddy water flows made it impossible for residents to move, forcing them to stop roadside.
