Vietnam’s women’s volleyball team secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Shanghai Future Star Tournament after a 3-1 victory over U21 Sesi Vôlei Bauru of Brazil.

In their final group-stage match, Vietnam faced a tough challenge against the Brazilian squad, known for their superior stamina and height. Despite these obstacles, Kieu Trinh and her teammates showed remarkable determination and came away with a well-earned 3-1 win.

At the end of the group stage, coach Ngoc Hoa’s team earned 6 points from three matches - defeating France U21 (3-0), losing to China U21 (0-3), and beating Brazil U21 (3-1). This result secured Vietnam second place in the group and a ticket to the quarterfinals.

The Vietnamese team is now awaiting the outcomes of the remaining group-stage matches to determine their quarterfinal opponent. If Vietnam officially finishes second in Group A, they will face the third-place team from Group B in the next round, scheduled for July 17.
