The Vietnam men’s national volleyball team enjoyed a smooth start in the second leg of the 2025 SEA V.League with a commanding 3-0 win (25-23, 25-19, 25-21) over Cambodia on the afternoon of July 16.

In the first set, Vietnam got off to a promising start with an early five-point lead. However, instability in their first touches and predictable second-ball plays allowed Cambodia to level the score.

The momentum shifted after the introduction of Phan Cong Duc and Nguyen Thanh Hai. Their presence helped improve the team’s coordination, and both Quoc Du and Ngoc Thuan capitalized on scoring opportunities to edge out Cambodia 25-23.

In the second set, Cambodia remained competitive, but Vietnam maintained focus. Decisive net plays from Ngoc Thuan and solid defense by Thanh Hai allowed Vietnam to preserve a consistent 4–5 point lead, finishing the set 25-19.

The third set showcased Vietnam’s dominant form under head coach Tran Dinh Tien. Despite Cambodia’s efforts to close the gap mid-set, they couldn’t match Vietnam’s cohesion and composure. A 25-21 win sealed a flawless 3-0 victory for Vietnam.

With this triumph, the Vietnam men’s volleyball team secured a strong mental boost heading into the rest of the second leg of the 2025 SEA V.League.
