Miss World Vietnam Huynh Tran Y Nhi left fans disappointed but proud after failing to make the Top 8 in the “Top Model” segment of Miss World 2025, despite delivering a confident and eye-catching performance.

The Top Model competition took place on the evening of May 24 in Telangana, India, featuring 108 contestants from around the world. The round is considered one of the most anticipated sub-contests at Miss World.
Y Nhi first appeared on stage in a traditional Indian outfit, where she showcased her stage presence and graceful figure. The design highlighted her slim waist, fair complexion, and poised elegance.
For her second look, Y Nhi donned a striking short pink dress with a flowing train, presenting a bold, high-fashion image. She impressed the audience with her cool confidence and commanding walk.
When asked by the host about the inspiration behind the design, Y Nhi shared that the dress drew from the lotus flower - symbolizing purity and grace. The flowing water imagery at the back represented her coastal hometown. She also expressed her gratitude to designer Thuong Gia Ky for bringing the concept to life.

Although her performance was well received, Y Nhi did not make it into the Top 8 - a result that left Vietnamese fans regretful. She had previously won the Top Model segment at Miss World Vietnam 2023 and was considered a strong contender for a deep run in the international edition.
Ultimately, the four regional winners who advanced to the Miss World 2025 Top 40 were:
Namibia (Selma Kamanya)
Martinique (Aurélie Joachim)
India (Nandini Gupta)
Ireland (Jasmine Gerhardt)

In addition, four special awards for Best Dress Design were presented to representatives from:
Puerto Rico (Valeria Pérez)
South Africa (Zoalise Jansen van Rensburg)
Ukraine (Maria Melnychenko)
New Zealand (Samantha Poole)
