From June 30 to July 9, northern Vietnam will experience significant weather changes.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, heavy rainfall will dominate through July 2, followed by reduced and scattered showers in the following days.

The Central Highlands and southern regions will continue to see daily afternoon rain, while Central Vietnam will have intermittent sunshine and light showers.

During the early part of this period (June 30 - July 2), a low-pressure trough over northern Vietnam will intensify and shift southward, with upper-level wind convergence between 1,500 and 5,000 meters contributing to unstable conditions. This system will weaken gradually starting July 3.

North Vietnam, Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An will receive moderate to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, with localized downpours especially in mountainous provinces like Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai. Rainfall during this period may range from 80-200mm per wave, with some areas exceeding 400mm. These conditions may lead to lightning, flash floods, landslides, and urban flooding.

From July 3 onward, the region will transition to scattered rainfall, mostly at night.

From Ha Tinh to Phu Yen, scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected from June 30 to July 3, followed by mainly sunny days with occasional showers and temperatures reaching 34-35°C.

Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam will see afternoon and evening rainstorms throughout the period. From July 1 to 3, more widespread rain will occur, with daily rainfall between 20-40mm, and over 70mm in some areas.

In Hanoi, from June 30 to July 2, there will be intermittent rain and overcast skies with daytime highs of 30-32°C and nighttime lows around 25-27°C. Light winds are expected. Scattered rain will continue in the evenings through the remainder of the forecast period.
